Are you the parent of an English-speaking child in the French school system?
Do you want them to learn to read and write in English alongside other English-speaking children?
Do you want them to experience learning English as it is taught in UK schools?
Jack in the Box offers UK primary and secondary school classes in Toulouse, and is an entirely English speaking environment. It is only open to children with native level understanding.
Our PRIMARY SECTION offers classes for children from 3.5 - 11 years of age every Wednesday afternoon. Please note that ages given are intended as a guide only, as children will be placed by reading and writing level, not by age.
PRE-SCHOOL: for those children currently too young to start our Y1/2 class (3.5/4 year olds)
CLASS A: for those children who are learning their phonic sounds (5/6 year olds)
CLASS B: for those children who have some phonic knowledge in English (7/8/9 year olds)
Our SECONDARY SECTION offers courses on Wednesdays and Saturdays:
YEAR 7: preparation course for KS3 Skills (9 - 11 year olds)
YEAR 8 & 9 (12 - 15 year olds)
IGCSE English Literature/Language (14+ year olds)
"Luca's absolutely loved JitB and is reading away brilliantly in English, which is totally down to you guys. An amazing thing to be part of. You should be very proud."
- Alison, mum to Luca (5).
Please contact us to register your child, or ask any questions you may have.
"Jack in the Box has been such a great experience for my daughter, Emily. It provides her with a creative environment, which she loves, and has allowed her to really develop her reading and writing in English. I have trouble turning off the lights at night now as she always has her head in a new book!"
- Lou, mum to Emily (9)
"Thank you to all of you for all of your hard work making such a wonderful learning experience for our children."
- Jenny, mum to Sophie (4)
We are delighted to announce that JitB's sister school, 'The Little School' will be opening its doors from April 2020 for children who don't have English as their mother tongue. Please let your French friends know!
